Research Institute of Chemistry

The main direction in the work of the Research Institute of Chemistry focuses on technology, which can be introduce into production, including to the creation of new pharmaceutical drugs. The Institute has four research centers - Organic synthesis under microwave activation; Crystal chemistry and structural analysis; Molecular design and synthesis of innovative compounds for medicine and Cluster directed synthesis of natural products, as well as the four departments - organic, inorganic, physical and colloid chemistry and general.

The principal research will be held at the Institute in order to discovery of new drugs, computer modeling of the molecule's biological activity, establishment of the structure and properties of the substance, determination its primary biological activity and licening the methods of synthesis and biological activity.

The institute will develop new, effective pharmaceutical drugs for the treatment of cancer and neuropsychiatric diseases. The Institute will pay much attention to the design of the new pharmaceutical drugs, and in the future it is planned to test the output of drugs to treat these diseases. Scientific developments will be held in partnership with National Research Center «Kurchatov Institute» (http://eng.nrcki.ru/) and tA.N.Nesmeyanov Institute of Organoelement Compounds of Russian Academy of Sciences (INEOS RAS/ https://ineos.ac.ru/en/).

Within the framework of the Research Institute of Chemistry will be created innovation cluster for the development of new practically important substances. Also for development of the new pharmaceuticals drugs to the institute will be invited experts from Europe, America, China, as well as post-docs of the leading universities in Europe, Asia and Latin America. This year 30 Russian and 12 foreign scientists, including professors from England, USA, Germany and India will be employed in the positions of researchers and heads of laboratories.
